Girls in Kolkata went berserk after watching Hrithik Roshan’s movie
It so happened that some schoolgirls from Kolkata then Calcutta went so crazy for Hrithik Roshan that they tried to sneak out of their houses intending to catch a train or a flight and reach Mumbai so that they could meet their crush – Hrithik Roshan .
When more than a dozen teens attempted to do the same thing, the situation got very serious and the local police had to come into action to stop these young girls who were trying to reach the City of Dreams – Mumbai.
But this put the school principals of some schools in anxiety and together they decided to create a group and take action. They had access to famous Bengali and Bollywood actor Mithun Chakraborty. So they chose him to pass on the message to Hrithik Roshan. The message was just a request for the star to appeal to the young girls that they stay grounded and not try to run away.
Promptly, Hrithik Roshan sent a message via fax that read, “The girls need not come to Mumbai. I will be in the city (Calcutta) for them.” And Duggu kept his word and the next month came to Kolkata to meet his young fans much to the relief of the school and police officials.
Hrithik’s reference was used for teaching in Kolkata
Such was the craze for the Bollywood superstar that the educators used his reference to teach children in the school. One of the teachers used to teach children that Mumbai is the capital of Maharashtra; a city of Hrithik Roshan . It helped children remember the name Mumbai. Similar references were made by teachers so that the students could remember important points.
