Deepika Padukone is happily married to Ranveer Singh while Salman Khan is still the most eligible bachelor of Bollywood. While Deeps and the Dabangg star have never shared the big screen to date, the two appeared in one frame a couple of times when the Bajirao Mastani fame actress came on the Bigg Boss episodes for promoting her movies.
In 2019, Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor’s movie Tamasha was released. The Bollywood diva had appeared on Bigg Boss to promote this Imtiaz Ali-helmed flick and shared some funny and entertaining moments with Salman Khan on the stage.
From dancing with the contestants inside the house to recreating the iconic Thangabali dialogue from Chennai Express with Bhaijan, Deepika offered some highly entertaining moments to the viewers.
And at that time, she even sorts of proposed to Salman going down the knees. As a part of an entertaining act, Deeps went down the knees and asked Bhaijaan, “Will you marry me, Mr. Salman Khan?” The Bollywood superstar laughed a lot on this question and said, “nahi nahi, yeh nahi hoga” but later on chipped in, “Not a bad idea.” This last sentence from Salman Khan took even Deepika by surprise.
Deepika’s last release 83 with husband Ranveer Singh in the lead did not do well as expected. Incidentally, not only did Deeps act as Kapil Dev’s wife Romi in this flick but she also joined this project as a producer. So, the movie not doing as expected at the box office can be a setback for Deepika. She turned producer with Chhapaak a couple of years ago which also failed to attract an audience.
Her next release will be Shakun Batra-helmed Gehraiyaan starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday as her co-stars. While earlier it was all set to hit the theaters, now this Dharma movie will be released on OTT next month.
