Mohit Suri’s Saiyaara, starring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, has left a lasting impression on movie lovers. The film has broken several records, whether for its soulful music, heartwarming storyline, or the convincing chemistry between the lead actors. One scene in particular struck an emotional chord. And it wasn’t just the audience, Ahaan himself couldn’t hold back his tears while filming it.
Ahaan Was Not Acting, But Emoting!
In a recent conversation with Red FM, director Mohit Suri shared how he sometimes had to stop Ahaan from crying too much in certain scenes, because the young actor wasn’t just performing, he was genuinely feeling the moment.
Talking about his young leads, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, Mohit Suri revealed, “Hum logo ko lagta hai ki nahi yaar itna love hai, yeh umar pe toh thodi pata hai, inko toh situationship aur benching ki hi aadat hai."
He added, "Mujhe sometimes bolna pada usko 'Mat ro yaar itna tu yeh scene mein'. He said, 'Mujhko bohot bura lag raha hai yaar, sir, I'm feeling very bad she's saying this'. I said, 'Tu acting nahi kar raha?' He said, 'Nahi, main acting nahi kar raha hun'. I said 'Itna mat ro'.”
Further, Mohit said, “But I just think maybe they've not met someone who opened up, in this generation they haven't met people who opened up their heart and make these promises jo commitment life bhar ki hoti hai, ki no matter what I'm not going to leave you, I'm going to stand by you, chaahe ek ladki yeh ladke ko bole ya ek ladka ek ladki ko bole. I think these were just things that were moving them.”
From his very first film, Ahaan’s heartfelt expressions, raw emotions, and intense eyes, combined with his strong acting skills, have already cemented his place as a rising star.
