Mohit Suri’s ‘Saiyaara’ has taken the box office by storm. The romantic musical starring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda has not only crossed the Rs 300 crore milestone globally, but it continues to dominate until the arrival of ‘War 2’ on August 15.
With its phenomenal reception, Saiyaara is now hailed as the biggest debut vehicle for newcomers in recent memory.
As excitement around the film grows, fans have been left wondering—what’s next for Aneet and Ahaan?
The OTT Buzz: Is Aneet Returning to Web Series?
Reports began surfacing over the weekend claiming that Aneet Padda will next be seen in a web series titled ‘Nyaya’, directed by Nitya Mehra and her husband Karan Kapadia. The news set the internet abuzz, with fans eager to see Aneet transition from the big screen to streaming platforms.
However, a trade source has revealed a surprising twist: Nyaya was actually shot before Aneet even signed on for Saiyaara. This changes everything about her supposed "switch" to OTT.
A Theatrical Future: YRF's Strategy for Aneet
According to insiders, Yash Raj Films (YRF) which launched Aneet with Saiyaara has grand theatrical plans for the young star. At just 22, delivering a likely Rs 400 crore hit, Aneet is being positioned as the Gen Z face of Bollywood.
“Aneet is a big-screen heroine,” the source emphasized. “Nyaya was an earlier project and won’t influence her trajectory, which will be built firmly around theatrical releases.”
Before the Big Break: Aneet’s Early Career
Prior to Saiyaara, Aneet had featured in TV commercials, held a minor role in ‘Salaam Venky’, and appeared in OTT shows like ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’ and ‘Yuva: Sapno Ka Safar’. These stepping stones led to her breakout moment and now, the sky’s the limit.
With a dream debut and a promising future, Aneet Padda’s journey is just getting started.
