Welcome 3: Director Ahmed Khan shares real reason behind mess in shooting schedule

Akshay Kumar is currently going through a tough phase in his career. The Bollywood superstar who is known for giving back-to-back hits is currently facing a drought when it comes to commercial success. To top it all, he has also been embroiled in controversies with his two ambitious movies Hera Pheri 3, and Welcome To The Jungle dragged into feuds due to different reasons.

Now the director of Welcome To The Jungle, Ahmed Khan has clarified why there has been a delay in the shoot and when will the last leg of the shooting take place.

Pahalgam attack forced makers to stop Welcome 3 shooting

Ahmed Khan, the renowned choreographer turned director has now clarified the real reason behind the delay in shooting the last and final schedule of Welcome 3 .

Talking to a leading portal Ahmed Khan said, “We’ve already shot two lengthy schedules. We were supposed to shoot in Kashmir in June for a third, long schedule. That would have brought us close to completing the film. But then the Pahalgam tragedy happened. The Kashmir schedule had to be canceled.”

He added that the team has already started hunting for locations that will fulfill the requirements of the story now that they cannot shoot in Kashmir. Khan said, “It could be any similar hinterland. We may shoot in Kullu or Himachal Pradesh. But going back to Kashmir is not feasible. We have to plan the schedule from scratch in another location. Coordinating the dates of thirty-six actors again is no small task. We’re working on it.”

On actors and staff facing issues regarding non-payment of their dues, the Baaghi 2 director said that he has no idea about it since the payments are handled by producer Firoz Nadiadwala.

Hopefully, soon the movie will get back on track and fans get to see another big comedy thriller from Akshay Kumar and his team.
