While Om Raut's Adipurush with Prabhas in the lead fell flat, cinephiles have pinned high hopes on Tiwari's Ramayana.

Amid this, Tollywood actor Vishnu Manchu showed his enthusiasm for a movie based on the Indian Epic. Interestingly, he has already picked the ideal cast for different roles.
Vishnu Manchu Aims For Ramayana With Alia and Suriya!
During a recent conversation with Nayandeep Rakshit on his YouTube channel, actor Vishnu Manchu, who was last seen in Kannappa, revealed that he has been planning for a cinematic adaptation of Ramayana for a very long time. However, it will be from the perspective of Demon King Ravana.
During the conversation, Vishnu revealed that he already has a fully developed script. The script traces Ravana's journey from birth to death.
When asked for the ideal cast for the flick, Vishnu said, "The only person who immediately appears in my mind for the role of Lord Rama is actor Suriya."
Further, he named Alia Bhatt for essaying Devi Sita.
Vishnu Dives Deeper Into The Project
Diving deeper into the project, Vishnu shared that the idea for the movie was first conceived in 2009, and he had approached Suriya at the time. However, it didn't work out because of the budgets.
"But, because the budgets were not working out for me, it didn't work out. The director of the film was supposed to be the legendary filmmaker Raghavendra Rao. My father (Mohan Babu) was supposed to play the role of Ravana. I have the script and dialogues ready for it. But, I don't know if I will ever be able to make it," said Vishnu.
Further, he expressed his enthusiasm for essaying Lord Hanuman. However, the director didn't want Vishnu to play Lord Hanuman, as he envisioned him in the role of Demon Prince Indrajit.

Vishnu shared that he wants Suriya's brother Karthi to play Indrajit, Jr NTR's brother Kalyan Ram as Lakshman and veteran actor Sathyaraj as Jatayu.
