Vijay Deverakonda is gearing up for his Bollywood debut movie Liger with Ananya Panday and is actively involved in its promotions. But the actor already has a big fan base among Bollywood movie fans as his Telugu film Arjun Singh was a big hit. And it is certainly going to help him become successful in Hindi cinema.
However, Vijay himself is a big fan of Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor. Time and again he has made his fondness and admiration for Ranbir very clear. Be it the group discussion with Anupama Chopra and other big stars like Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, and Manoj Bajpayee or his fun session with brother Anand Deverakonda, whenever he has been asked to name his favourite actor he has always taken the name of Ranbir Kapoor.
While discussing Ranbir in one such interview, Vijay said that while he admire the work of other contemporaries who started with him or after him and are doing good in their careers, Ranbir Kapoor was already a star when he entered the movies. So for him, he had watched the movies of the Sanju actor as a common man, an admirer, or a fan and that is why his fondness for the Barfi actor is very much different from what he feels for his contemporaries.
Despite all his love for Ranbir, when a question about his favourite star was asked on Koffee With Karan 7, the Geetha Govindam actress was simply clueless about it. In the section, “Who am I?” Karan gave a hint that was directed towards a particular celebrity and Vijay and Ananya had to guess it. The first question was about an actor who owns a football team and is also married to a top Bollywood actress. Ananya guessed it was Abhishek Bachchan which Karan said was wrong.
The second question hinted that the favourite number of that actor is 8. Ananya quickly answered Ranbir Kapoor while Vijay looked surprised and said how was he supposed to know that Ranbir’s favourite number is 8.
