Known for speaking his heart out, Telugu heartthrob Vijay Deverakonda recently revealed that he had auctioned his Filmfare Award for Rs 25 lakh. The actor who had received the award for his ‘Arjun Reddy’ said that it was nicer for him than a piece of stone in the house.
“We auctioned my first Best Actor award I got from Filmfare. It got a good chunk of money, that’s nicer memory for me than a piece of stone in my house,” the ‘Family Star’ actor said to Mid-Day.
He further added, “Some more awards might be at my office, some my mom must’ve kept at home. I don’t know which are mine, which are Anand’s (his younger brother).”
Vijay added another funny anecdote and revealed that he had even given one of his awards to his friend and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. “I gave one of my awards to Sandee,” Vijay said. However, the kind-hearted hunk donated all the Rs 25 lakh to charity.
The two share a great camaraderie as Vijay was the first actor for Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s first film ‘Arjun Reddy’ which became a sensation during the time of its release. The movie was such a huge hit that it was remade in Hindi as ‘Kabir Singh’ and ‘Adithya Varman’ in Tamil.
