Vidyut's Hollywood Debut

According to recent reports, Vidyut Jammwal will debut in Hollywood with Street Fighter.

According to a report by Deadline, Street Fighter is based on Legendary’s hit video game of the same name. Reportedly, Vidyut will play Dalsim, a yogi with fire-spitting abilities. His character is a fundamentally peaceful individual who fights to support his family.

The movie will also feature an ensemble cast including Jason, Andrew Koji, Noah Centineo, Callina Liang, Roman Reigns, Orville Peck, Cody Rhodes, Andrew Schulz, Curtis' ’50 Cent’ Jackson, and David Dastmalchian.

While Jason will portray Blanka, Andrew will essay Ryu's character, and Noah will be seen as Ken. Similarly, Callina will portray Chun-Li, David as M. Bison, Cody as Guile, Curtis as Balrog, Orville as Vega, Schulz as Dan Hibiki, Roman as Akuma, and Hirooki Goto as E. Honda.

While the plot of Street Fighter has been kept under wraps, it will be helmed by Kitao Sakurai. The production is likely to begin in August in Australia.

Vidyut's Work Front

Notably, Vidyut Jammwal was last seen in 2024's Crakk: Jeetega Toh Jiyegaa! The movie also starred Arjun Rampal, Amy Jackson and Nora Fatehi in key roles. Despite being the first-ever extreme sports action movie, Crakk failed to impress the audience. With this movie, Vidyut also debuted as a producer.
