Emerging talent Vedang Raina, who garnered acclaim for his debut performance in Zoya Akhtar's teen musical film, ‘The Archies,’ is now making headlines amid rumors of sharing the screen with Alia Bhatt in Vasan Bala's upcoming film, ‘Jigra.’
Vedang portrayed the character of Reginald 'Reggie' Mantle in "The Archies," alongside Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, and other young talents.
In a recent conversation with the Indian Express, Vedang Raina addressed the buzz surrounding ‘Jigra’ and the speculation of playing Alia Bhatt's sibling in the film. When questioned about these rumours, Vedang responded, "Everyone keeps asking me the same question. I don’t know what this is about. I'm not very sure." However, he acknowledged the excitement of the prospect, stating, "That's so interesting.
Sounds very exciting to be a part of a project like that. But there's always going to be rumours floating around."
In a previous interview with Pinkvilla, Vedang Raina shared his admiration for Bollywood stars and revealed the actors and directors he aspires to work with. He expressed his desire to collaborate with Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, and Alia Bhatt, citing them as actors he is a fan of. Additionally, he expressed keen interest in working with acclaimed director Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Notably, ‘Jigra’ marks Alia Bhatt's venture into co-production with Karan Johar. The film helmed by Vasan Bala has been generating anticipation since its announcement in September last year.
