Urvashi wore a custom black silk taffeta gown by Naja Saade Couture, featuring a plunging sweetheart neckline, sheer full-length sleeves, and a dramatic layered skirt. The structured corset bodice and long flowing train created a regal silhouette, which she accessorised with emerald-cut earrings and a shimmering pink clutch.
However, despite her confident poses and waves to the cameras, eagle-eyed netizens spotted a noticeable tear near her arm. The footage of the malfunction went viral online, with users commenting on the mishap.
Anonymous fashion watchdog Diet Sabya took a sly dig at Urvashi Rautela by sharing a video of her red carpet appearance on their Instagram Stories.
The video was accompanied by a sarcastic monologue that read,
“Dekho, gotta respect the hustle. Bichari, I feel bad for her. Walking the red carpet where there are no paps in Cannes is basically the kiss of death.”
Adding to the buzz, a follower commented on the story asking, “Is that a hole there????” Meanwhile, over on X (formerly Twitter), a user remarked,
“First Indian to have a torn dress at Cannes?”

Following the incident, Urvashi took to Instagram to share new photos from the event, captioning, “78th CANNES FILM FESTIVAL ‘O Agente Secreto’ RED CARPET Custom Black Taffeta @najasaade Couture dress. Celestial dance and mystical silhouette with an illusion bodice and an overlapping draped taffeta.”
Despite the wardrobe glitch, she appeared unfazed and continued to engage with fans and paparazzi.
