From ‘Liger’ to ‘Gehraaiyan’, here are five underwhelming films that failed to impress the audience in 2022.
Liger: Unfortunately, Liger was not only overhyped and underwhelming, but the plot was also abhorrently weak.
Ek Villain Returns: Starring Arjun Kapoor, John Abraham, Tara Sutaria, and Disha Patani—yet no one could save Ek Villain Returns. Ek Villain's (2014) follow-up is unpleasant, meaningless, and bizarre. The film suffers from sluggish writing, poor direction, and half-baked characters. The film brutally failed at the box office with a collection of only Rs. 45 crores.
Gehraiyaan: Even after featuring Deepika Padukone with Siddhant Chturvedi and Ananya Pandey, the film failed to impress the audience. Although everyone had great hopes, the movie based on infidelity while selling the intimate scenes could not meet the high demands. The obsessional kissing scenes without attraction were incredibly monotonous for viewers and thereby were criticised. The film released on Amazon Prime could garner only 7 lakh views on its first day and became a victim of the #boycottbollywood bandwagon!
