Ever since the release of ‘Animal’, actress Triptii Dimri has become a social media sensation. The stupendous success of the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer gave her the much-needed fame. The song ‘Pehle Bhi Main’ picturised on her and Ranbir was much loved by the audience.
Triptii received immense love from the audience for her portrayal of ‘Zoya’ in the Sandeep Reddy Vanga film. Interestingly, she gained more popularity than the film’s leading actress Rashmika Mandanna. Despite appearing in a brief role, Triptii managed to take away the ‘national crush’ tag from Rashmika and was lovingly called as ‘Bhabhi 2’.
Now, Animal marketing head Varun Gupta spilled the beans on the same and said that Triptii’s rise in popularity and becoming the new national crush was very unexpected. Speaking to Zoom, Gupta said that it was never a part of any preconceived plan.
The character of Zoya found its way through the hearts of the audience due to her simplicity and honesty. Despite severe criticism over a particular shoe-licking scene in the movie, Ranbir Kapoor and Triptii’s chemistry received a lot of love from the audience.
Triptii became so popular that she was all over social media; every reel, Instagram, and X post talked about her. She was trending on every platform for weeks together. Her Instagram followers increased from 644K to 4M within three to four days of the release of the movie.
Gupta attributed her growing popularity to her acting skills, natural beauty, and portrayal of Zoya. He firmly denied that the marketing team had any role in her growing popularity. It was all because of the love of the audience, he stated.
