Triptii Dimri has been riding high on success following her performance in ‘Animal’, after which she has been flooded with offers for upcoming films. Triptii has several high-profile projects lined up, including ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ opposite Rajkumar Rao, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ alongside Kartik Aaryan, and ‘Dhadak 2’ with Siddhant Chaturvedi.
Now, it is rumoured that the ‘Bulbul’ actress will star in Director Aanand L. Rai’s ‘Tere Ishk Mein’ opposite Dhanush. Addressing these rumours, Rai opened up in an interview with Zoom, revealing that an official announcement would come soon while remaining tight-lipped about the cast.
Responding to a report that claimed Dimri had been cast, the ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ director said, "Let the speculation keep rolling. I will give my cast very soon."
The film, announced last year, is set to begin shooting in October after delays due to Dhanush's prior commitments. Rai also addressed comparisons between ‘Tere Ishk Mein’ and his 2013 romance drama, ‘Raanjhanaa’, both starring Dhanush. He clarified that the only similarity lies in the team behind the films, which includes himself, Dhanush, AR Rahman, Irshad Kamil, and Himanshu Sharma.
“Tere Ishk Mein is a different story, but yes, you may get the fragrance of ‘Raanjhanaa’ because of the feel, energy, and mood,” he stated. Rai further explained, “It’s an expansion, not an extension. It expands that emotion in a different film.”
‘Tere Ishk Mein’ was announced on the 10th anniversary of ‘Raanjhanaa’, with Rai noting, “Kundan and this boy are the same, but his mood is to blow up the world! Only for you... ‘Tere Ishk Mein’.”
