Another Odia film has set a milestone and brought glory to the state. "Nanda Master'nka Chatasali' achieved the feat after its trailer was recently screened at the Bharat Pavilion of the 77th Cannes Film Festival.

While the film was produced by senior journalist-cum-educationist Abhay Pati, it was directed by Pranab Kumar Aich.

The film is based on the simple living of Nanda Prusty, who was honoured with Padma Shri in 2021. His dedication to impart education is beautifully portrayed in the film.

Both Pati and Aich observed that the screening of the film’s trailer at the 77th Cannes Film Festival was a matter of great pride for the Odia Film Industry.

“When Nanda Sir’s story came to me, who was I on the earth to reject it. I instantly agreed to do it,” said Pranab Kumar Aich.
