The Baahubali couple Prabhas and Anushka Shetty are the most loved on-screen pair of the South film industry. Taking the tinsel town by storm with their romance rumours is not a new thing for the duo. While the two never react to the link-up reports, no one can deny that the bond they share is too special to be "just co-stars”. One of the incidents that highlighted the same was when Anushka chose to reject Ajay Devgn’s breakthrough Bollywood offer for Prabhas.
In recent years, it has become a trend for South stars to take their popularity a notch higher by marking their Pan-India arrival with Bollywood. While many leading ladies of Tollywood have taken over the silver screen now, not many know that even Anushka was offered a Bollywood film years before it became a trend.
It happened so that Rohit Shetty was planning to remake the Suriya’s Singham in Hindi with Ajay Devgn as the lead. For the part of the female lead, he tried casting Shetty, who was also a part of the original Singham. However, things didn’t pan out as per plan and Kajal Aggarwal got the role.
Sweety later addressed these reports and clarified that the paycheck wasn’t very inviting and she didn’t find other offers from Mumbai that exciting as well. As per reports, Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn were however very upset with the South diva rejecting their role.

It is interesting to note here that one of the reasons, Anushka didn’t take up the big Bollywood offer was because she was at that time busy prepping for Baahubali and she wanted to focus more on the Prabhas starrer. And rest is history! Without making a Bollywood debut, Anushka Shetty became a nationwide sensation along with Prabhas.
