Remember actress Mayoori Kango, the stunning diva of popular song ‘Ghar Se Nikalte Hi’ of the 1996 film Papa Kehte Hain? The gorgeous beauty has quit showbiz to join Sundar Pichai’s Google India and is currently earning in crores.
Mayoori has proved that she is a beauty with brain. She was in Class 12 when director-producer Mahesh Bhatt spotted her and offered her ‘Papa Kehte Hain’.
She later went on to work with Ajay Devgn and Arshad Warsi in ‘Hogi Pyaar Ki Jeet’ and ‘Vamsi’ starring Telugu heartthrob Mahesh Babu and his wife Namrata Shirodkar.
Unfortunately, her films failed to fare well at the box office and 16 of her films couldn’t be released. Later, the actress who had been selected for IIT Kanpur to join Bollywood decided to continue her studies and joined MBA.
In the year 2003, she quit acting and married NRI Aditya Dhillon before moving to the United States. She later joined MBA in Marketing and Finance in Baruch College Zicklin School of Business. She later worked in America between 2004 and 2012 before shifting back to India in 2013 and started working for a company called Performix as a Managing Director.
In 2019, she joined Google India and became Industry Head. Currently, she is the Head of Industry – Agency Partnership at Google India. Her journey from being an actress to the head of Google India is remarkable and inspiring.
