Nushrratt Bharuccha recently participated in the Rising Bharat Summit event in New Delhi. She discussed her opinion on nepotism and whether outsiders have to struggle hard amid the growing domination of star kids. The actress accepted the fact that star kids have more opportunities than outsiders.
However, she also shared that these star kids have to go through a lot of comparisons and pressures since they belong to a particular lineage.

Nushrratt accepted that they (star kids) do have more opportunities than the outsiders do. However, she also brought to light a balanced approach to this nepotism debate.
During her interview at the summit she said, “Aisa nahi hai ki unpe (star kids)responsibilities nahin hai. Aisa nahi hai ki unpe pressures nahi hai. Agar mere papa ya meri mummy ka bada naam hota toh main bahot stressed hoti. Main pura kam jo kar rahi hoon..jaise aapne kaha abhi maine woh roles kiye hai jo pehle kisi ne kiye nahi hai. Kyunki muzhe darr nahi hai, kisi cheez ke khone ka, kisi dhabbe ke lagne ka ya kisi legacy ko forward le jane ka darr nahi hai, baggage nahi hai.”
Nushrratt Bharuccha also said that despite getting good opportunities if the star kids fail to deliver the goods the audience can reject them and they have been facing rejections and failures. She also gave the example of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor who are a product of nepotism but since are talented have made it big in the industry.
Nushrratt opens up about the challenges and pros of being an outsider
The Chhorii fame actress said that being an outsider she has faced her own challenges as well as pros and cons. The Bollywood actress said, “I will tell you the cons of that. I am a very realistic person. Dikhta nahi hai mere roles say. It looks like I am fun loving girl which I am but my thoughts are very rounded. I don’t live in delusion, I don’t live in resentment. I am not bitter ki isko yeh film kyun mili aur muzko kyun nahi mili.”
So whenever she does not get a movie instead of questioning how the other person could get the movie, Nushrratt Bharuccha instead tries to find out why she could not get it. Speaking about the cons of being an outsider she said, “You don’t have familiarity, you don’t have support, you don’t have anyone guiding you.”
