The much-awaited official trailer of Thalapathy Vijay's The Greatest Of All Time (The GOAT) dropped on August 17. The first glance into the high-end action sequences and Vijay's dual role in the time-travel saga elevated the excitement among all. Moreover, the thrill among fans for The GOAT has reached the zenith as it was considered the last film of the Leo actor as he is actively participating in politics. However, it seems, Thalapathy's journey is not going to end with The GOAT. As per the latest buzz in the industry, the BEAST actor is all set to team up with H Vinoth for his next project, tentatively titled Thalapathy 69. He will be seen romancing Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the movie.
As per the latest report, Vijay will team up with Ajith Kumar's Valimai director H Vinoth for his 69th project in Tamil cinema. According to the report, Thalapathy 69 will mark Vijay's last project as an actor before taking a break from the industry.
The report further suggests that Thalapathy 69 has undergone changes in production with Jagadish Palanisamy's The Route banner, taking over the project from KVN Productions.
H Vinoth confirmed the collaboration with Thalapathy Vijay at the Magudam Film Awards event. The helmer further revealed that Thalapathy 69 will not be a political thriller but a 100% Vijay film catering to all age groups.
If the report is anything to go by, Samantha Ruth Prabhu might be seen as the female lead in the movie with Mohanlal in a pivotal role. Furthermore, Anirudh Ravichander will compose the music.

The movie is expected to go on floors in October 2024. Notably, Jagadeesh is a close associate of Vijay and also his manager. However, an official announcement is awaited that will confirm the circulating reports.
If the reports are anything to go by, Thalapathy Vijay teaming up with his Theri costar Samantha Ruth Prabhu for his last flick is certainly good news for fans of both actors. Apart from Theri, Vijay and Sam have worked together in Mersal and Kaththi.
