Emraan Hashmi and Tanushree Dutta's chemistry in 2005's Aashiq Banaya Aapne set the screens on fire. The romantic thriller flick's success is majorly attributed to the sizzling chemistry between Emraan and Tanushree, particularly in the titular song. The romantic scenes, intense gaze and passionate moments turned the movie appealing. Even after almost two decades, moviegoers still remember the intimate lovemaking sequence of the two lead actors. However, Tanushree called their on-screen chemistry 'brotherly', a couple of weeks ago. And now, the Tiger 3 actor reacted to his co-star's statement.
During a recent interview with ScoopWhoop, Emraan reacted to Tanushree's statement. During the interview, the actor was quizzed if he realises how Aashiq Banaya Aapne impacted an entire generation. Responding to it, the Ungli actor said, "Did you hear Tanushree's quote three weeks ago? I don't know if it was a verbatim quote or what. She said that it was like ‘brotherly’."
Further, Emraan added, "I said, ‘What did the director tell her and what did he tell me?’ I had another narrative going on in my head and she had another narrative going in her head. I was never told the story about incest. I don't know what she was thinking but fine.”
Notably, during an interview with Filmygyan, a couple of weeks ago, the Chocolate actress spoke about being judged for on-screen intimacy and reflected on her chemistry with Emraan. Tanushree said, "The biggest and top-most actresses have done kissing, and lovemaking scenes. Unko koi kuch nehi bolta. Mujhse sabko dikkat ho jati hai. (No one says anything to them. I face difficulties.)"
She further added, "Main short-skirt pehenu ya koi aisa scene kar du. Acting hai, bhai. Usmein mera aur Emraan ka kuch personal tha nehi. (Whether I wear a short skirt or do a scene like that, everyone has an issue. It’s just acting. There was nothing between personal between me and Emraan in it)."
"Mine and Emraan’s chemistry is like brother-sister. Literally,” she said.
