Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah continued to entertain its fans in 2021. However, more than its content and comedy, the show was in the news for different speculations and rumours connected with its popular actors. And, a few even affected the image of the show.
Babitaji aka Munmun Dutta was in the news earlier this year when cases were filed against her across India for making a castiest slur against particular strata of society.
Later on, the actress apologised for her statement but continued to receive social media backlash for a long time which somehow also affected the image of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah which is why Munmun reportedly was missing from the show for a few episodes.
Yet another rumour related to Munmun Dutta has made a wrong impact on the image of the show. Her alleged affair with the show’s young actor Raj Anadkat, who plays the role of teenager Tappu, has raised many eyebrows. While Munmun and Raj have issued statements that they are not in a relationship, the rumours continue to circulate.
Rather, it has also led to another speculation that Raj Anadkat is leaving Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah because of these rumours. However, neither the producer Asit Kumarr Modi nor the actor himself has confirmed this news.
The show received a major setback when its popular actor Ghanashyam Nayak who played the role of Nattu Kaka right from the start of TMKOC succumbed to cancer in 2021.
Immediately after his death, rumours about a new actor replacing Ghanashyam started going around. However, the producer issued a statement that no one is going to replace the actor.
From Gurucharan Singh, who played the character of Sodhi, hinting at animosity with the TMKOC team, Popatlal finally getting married to rumours that a new actress is replacing Disha Vakani as Dayaben, a lot of buzz, gossips and speculations related to Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah also continued to circulate all through 2021.
