Over a year back, former IPL chairman Lalit Modi left everyone in shock after sharing a set of pictures with the former Miss Universe and tagging her as his ‘better-half.’ However, a few months later, rumours of their breakup surfaced. While earlier rumours of Lalit and Sush having tied the knot were quite abuzz, following the announcement of the business fugitive, trolls called the actress a ‘Gold Digger.’
Earlier, the actress lashed out at the trolls sharing a long post on social media. Recently, during an interview, the actress again reacted to being tagged as a ‘Gold Digger’.
During her recent conversation with Zoom, the Main Hoon Na actress said, “It's good that those comments came to me and I could define 'gold digger'. An insult is an insult when you receive it, which I don't. But there are certain things that are nobody's business.”
Furthermore, she also went on to say that many people from the film fraternity didn’t expect her to react to those trolls, but she boldly said, “It’s my business and I’ll respond when I want to.”
After the alleged breakup with Lalit Modi, the actress shared a picture with her ex-boyfriend Rohman Shawl. Soon, reports were abuzz that the actress returned to her ex.
However, during the interview, she also shared that she is single now.
On the work front, the 47-year-old actress is all set for her upcoming web series Taali, which is scheduled to release on August 15. Sushmita will be seen playing the character of a transgender activist Shreegauri Sawant. The makers released the teaser last week that gave a glimpse into different facets of Sawant. Sharing the teaser, Sush wrote, ““Gaali se Taali tak ke safar ki yeh kahaani. Presenting the story of Shreegauri Sawant's fight for India's third gender. #TaaliOnJioCinema streaming free 15 Aug.”
