  • JP Dutta has dismissed rumours of Border 2.
  • However, fans might get to see a sequel to Sunny Deol's Apne in the coming years.

Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 has created a Tsunami in India with the movie crossing 300 crores at the start of the second week. It is breaking records in the domestic market and has once again marked the entry of Sunny Deol as the superstar of Bollywood. That is the reason why many fans of the veteran actor now want to see him in sequels to his earlier hit movies like Border or Apne.

A couple of days ago, speculations went adrift that JP Dutta has decided to direct Border 2 with Sunny Deol in the lead. The first movie was a big hit and also starred some big names like Jackie Shroff, Suniel Shetty, Tabu, Akshaye Khanna, and Pooja Bhatt as parallel leads.

The song especially “Sandese aate hai” is now a cult classic in India. Border won many awards and to date is one of the best movies ever made about Indian soldiers.

That is why fans are now eager to see its sequel. But JP Dutta who produced and directed Border has slammed down the sequel rumours. The veteran director has dismissed these rumours and has said that he does not know from where such rumours have come.

Dutta said that Border was made 26 years ago and hence there is no chance of a sequel to it. Before Border, Dutta had directed Sunny Deol in Yateem and Kshatriya. But after Border, the two have not worked together.

Dutta had offered LOC Kargil to the Gadar actor but he had refused. Reportedly, it has been long years since Dutta and Sunny Deol met each other. Importantly they have not been in touch with each other for so many years now.

While Border 2 may not be in the making, fans can expect Sunny Deol’s Apne 2 to come to the theaters in the coming years as he has hinted recently that they have a good script for the same now.
