Hours after landing in Odisha last evening, Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra left her hotel in Semiliguda in Koraput district this afternoon and headed to the film set of SSMB29 in Deomali, where she is slated to join director SS Rajamouli and actor Mahesh Babu.
Priyanka Chopra Greets Fans Amid Tight Security
Priyanka, who is said to be playing a key role in SSMB29, landed in the state last evening, where she graciously posed for a selfie with air hostesses. Similarly, while leaving the hotel premises today, the actress waved to a long line of fans waiting for a glimpse of the global star outside a private hotel in Semiliguda.
State Government Ensures Extensive Security for the Shoot
Reports indicate that the state government has provided extensive security arrangements to facilitate the shoot, with police forces deployed for crowd control. Given the high-profile nature of the movie, the production is expected to significantly boost tourism in Koraput.

SSMB29: An Action-Mythology Set in Lush Jungles
Sources also reported that SSMB29, starring Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra, and Prithviraj Sukumaran, will be an action-mythology film set against the backdrop of dense jungles. Koraput, known for its raw, untouched natural beauty, became a prime filming location for the project, with core scenes reportedly shot over the past two days.
Three-Layer Security at Filming Locations
Reports had earlier revealed that a three-layer security arrangement was in place at Talamali Hilltop, Deomali, and nearby sites, where extensive preparations for the film’s shoot are underway. Notably, Rajamouli and a few other key cast members arrived at the location a couple of days ago.
