South ace director SS Rajamouli changed the face of Indian cinema 10 years ago with Baahubali: The Beginning. Starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah Bhatia in the lead, Baahubali set new box office records, expanding Indian cinema's global footprint. Released in 2015, Baahubali: The Beginning grossed over Rs 650 crore. Later, the second instalment, Baahubali: The Conclusion, released in 2017 and amassed over Rs 1810 crore, setting a new benchmark. The franchise continues to remain the highest-grossing franchise of all time. 

Well, on its 10th anniversary, SS Rajamouli made a special announcement that has sent thrills among fans. The maverick filmmaker recently announced Baahubali: The Epic.

Baahubali: The Epic

On Baahubali's 10th anniversary, SS Rajamouli announced that Baahubali: The Epic will release in theatres worldwide on October 31, 2025.

Baahubali: The Epic will be a combination of Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion. Rajamouli will rework his film and release a new cut.

On Thursday, Rajamouli took to X to make the special announcement. Accompanied by a poster of Prabhas, the post read, "Baahubali…The beginning of many journeys. Countless memories. Endless inspiration. It’s been 10 years. Marking this special milestone with #BaahubaliTheEpic, a two-part combined film. In theatres worldwide on October 31, 2025.” (sic)

The movie will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi.

Well, the announcement has thrilled fans, which is evident from the flooding comments.

Rajamouli's Next SSMB29

Cureently, Rajamouli is working on SSMB29 (working title) with Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead. 

Earlier reports were abuzz that Rajamouli and his team had plans to head to Africa for the third schedule of the film. However, the latest buzz suggests that there might be a change in the plan. The report by Filmfare suggests that the team is reconsidering going ahead with the original plan of shooting in Kenya.

Fans have to wait with their fingers crossed for the next official update related to SSMB29.
