Dunki, Tiger 3
Shah Rukh Khan is currently the King of the box office and the only superstar from Bollywood who has won the hearts of the audience with back-to-back hits like Pathaan and Jawan.
Until a couple of years ago, Salman Khan was in the place of SRK but since his last few movies have done very badly, he is desperately in need of a big hit. His upcoming movie Tiger 3 is expected to do a good business considering it is a threequel from the hit Tiger franchise of YRF’s Spy Universe.
But it seems he may not be able to match the stupendous run that Badshah Khan is currently enjoying in the theaters. The trailer for Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif ’s Tiger 3 was released almost 20 days ago. In 24 hours the trailer attracted around 9 million views on YouTube.
Rajkumar Hirani-directed Dunki’s first drop hit the web a couple of days ago and within 24 hours it has garnered 36.8 million views which speaks of the tremendous response that this Shah Rukh Khan starrer is getting.
Comparing the response to the trailer of Tiger 3 and Dunki, it is quite evident that SRK’s movie is all set to beat Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 although there is a gap of almost a month between the releases of these two mega movies.
Tiger 3 which also stars Emraan Hashmi as the antagonist will release on November 12 whereas Dunki is scheduled to hit the cinema halls on December 22. So Tiger 3 has ample time to collect the moolah.
Incidentally, The Marvels is also releasing in India on November 10 around the Diwali time as Tiger 3. Since there are huge Avengers fans in India, Tiger 3 is going to have a tough competition emerging as one of the biggest hits of this year.
And just over a fortnight on December 1, Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna’s Animal will be released.
Just as Tiger 3, and Dunki Animal is also one of the most awaited movies of this year. So the competition is getting tougher. But as of now, Dunki is way ahead of Tiger 3 when it comes to the number of views for the trailers on YouTube in record time.
