Fans are well aware of how Thalaivar Rajinikanth was all set to propose marriage to actress Sridevi and how the actress' mother wanted Kamal Haasan to marry the English Vinglish star. Even media reports claimed that her relationship with actor Mithun Chakraborty was quite deep and the duo had a brief affair and secretly married. However, Mithun and Sridevi refuted the allegations. Recently, veteran actress Sujata Mehta revealed that Sridevi and Mithun were madly in love and speculated that they were married too. She also disclosed that after her breakup, Sridevi was very disturbed.
Sujata, known for her appearance in movies like Gunaah, Yateem and more, during her recent interview with Pinkvilla Hindi Rush, disclosed about
Pinkvilla quoted the veteran actress as saying, "She used to be so disturbed but itni professional ke jaise camera on hota tha aur vo kisi ki nahin. (She was so professional that as soon as the camera turned on, she belonged to none)."

"She was only for camera par uske baad jaake kone mein vo bhi baith jaati thi zyada maine usko cheda nahin (but after that she would sit in a corner. Even I also didn’t ask her much about it)."
Spilling beans on their love story, Sujata said, "They were madly in love I suppose so they got married also na shaadi bhi hui thi na uski han aise bolte shaadi bhi hui thi pata nai (It is also said they got married too) I don’t know."
Reportedly, Sridevi and Mithun Chakraborty were two of the biggest names in Bollywood in the 1980s and 90s. The two stars met each other on the set of Jaag Utha Insan (1984). After that they started dating and also worked together in several movies including Watan Ke Rakhwale, Waqt Ki Awaz, Guru and more. After that they reportedly married each other. As per media reports, as Mithun was already married to Yogeeta Bali at the time, he decided not to leave his wife which led to their separation. Even reports claimed that Sridevi got her marriage annulled in 1988.
