Rumours have been abuzz that Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan are reuniting after a long time in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Spirit with Prabhas in the lead. Earlier reports surfaced that Bebo and Nawab will be seen in negative characters in the Prabhas-starrer, but there has been no confirmation from the makers. However, the latest report suggests that Kareena and Saif are in advanced talks to step into negative shades.
As per the latest report by Pinkvilla, Vanga is all set to start shooting for Spirit from the first quarter of 2025 with targets of releasing it in 2026. While the pre-production work for the action-packed cop thriller is currently underway, reports suggest that the makers are in talks with Mrunal Thakur to play the female lead in the Prabhas-starrer.

The entertainment portal quoted a close source to the development as saying, "Spirit is the most ambitious and awaited film of Indian Cinema, and the makers are going all out to have the best and most talented actors of world cinema on board the film."
The source further revealed that while Prabhas is locked to play the role of a cop, the makers are in advanced talks with Mrunal for playing the female lead. Moreover, the makers are in talks with Saif and Kareena for playing negative roles.
Furthermore, the source revealed that Spirit's plot is a one-of-a-kind corn-based action thriller. Moreover, Vanga aims to change the outlook towards the genre of cop-based movies in India.
The source said, “It’s a story like never before, in the template of a commercial Indian Film. There are good people and bad people in the tale but with a lot of elements of grey that Vanga is known for. Every character has a purpose, and it’s among the most ambitious films for Sandeep Reddy Vanga."
The source disclosed that the writing work and preparations for the movie are going on in full swing and Vanga is going to reintroduce Prabhas like never before in Spirit.

Talking about Kareena-Saif, the source said that the duo will be seen in a never-before-seen dynamic in Spirit.
"It’s the first time that a real-life couple will be playing a negative role as a couple in a feature film," revealed the source.
If the reports are anything to go by, the duo will also have a lot of actions alongside Darling. However, the paperwork for the duo is yet to be done.
Well, fans need to wait for an official confirmation from the makers.
