Deepika's Biggest-ever Paycheque
According to the latest reports, Deepika, who earlier teamed up with Prabhas in Nag Ashwin's Kalki 2898 AD, has been cast alongside the Baahubali star in Spirit and has secured a massive paycheque for her role.
The report by India Today Digital suggests that Deepika is being paid a whopping amount, which places her among the highest-paid actors in the country.
Though there is no clarity on the exact figure, according to the report, insiders suggest that her remuneration is approximately Rs 20 crore, which is higher than Ranveer Singh's.
Deepika Among Highest-paid Actresses
If the reports are anything to go by, it is one of the biggest paydays for a female actress in Indian cinema.
In the past, Alia Bhatt and Priyanka Chopra were among the few actresses who commanded a hefty remuneration.
Well, it isn't surprising that Deepika demanded such a huge remuneration and the makers agreed to pay her given her past record of being a bankable actress. In 2023, the Piku actress delivered two consecutive Rs 1000 crore blockbusters, i.e. Pathaan and Jawan. Later, Kalki 2898 AD also crossed Rd 1000 crore mark making her 'unbeatable' as the only actress with three flicks minting over Rs 1000 crore.
