Aashiqui 2 reunion: Ex-lovebirds Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur team up for romantic film

Who can forget ‘Tum Hi Ho’ from Aashiqui 2 that introduced the very talented Arijit Singh to all of us? The romantic drama movie starring not only skyrocketed Arijit Singh to stardom but also gave a new phase of life to Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur in the film industry.

They went on to become one of the most popular onscreen couples in Bollywood after the stupendous success of the movie. The two stars were even rumoured to be dating each other for a brief period of time. However, they later called it quits for reasons best known to them.

Meanwhile, reports suggest that the ex-lovebirds might team up once again for a romantic movie. If reports are to be believed the duo is coming together for ‘Ek Villian’ director Mohit Suri’s next. The movie might be in the romance genre and will serve some major relationship goals.

As per reports, Mohit Suri is currently working on the story and screenplay. The final details of the film are currently being worked out. Both Shraddha and Aditya have expressed their wish to sign the movie. An official announcement could be made in a few weeks, reports said.

This has come as a piece of great news for fans who were eagerly waiting for the former lovebirds to set the big screen on fire once again with her awesome chemistry. Fans are hopeful that the film recreates the success of Aashiqui 2, also directed by Mohit Suri.

The Mohit Suri directorial was a huge success and was very well received by audiences of all categories, especially for its rawness, melodious music, love story and impressive performances of both Aditya and Shraddha.

The songs from the film are still popular even today. The two later went on to star in ‘OK Jaanu’ but failed to recreate the success of Aashiqui 2.
