Actress and former air hostess Noor Malabika Das was reportedly found dead at her apartment in Mumbai, police said. Noor, best known for her performance in Kajol’s web series ‘The Trial’ was reportedly found dead at her home.
Mumbai police have initially ruled her death as suicide while investigation is still underway.
According to sources, Noor lived in her apartment complex in Lokhandwala. The matter came to the fore after Noor’s neighbours reported a foul smell coming out of her apartment and informed Oshiwara Police.
On being informed, police reached the spot and broke open the door only to find Noor’s decomposed body. The body was found hanging from a ceiling fan in her room, police revealed.
“We spoke to her family. They had returned to their native place two weeks ago. Investigation is underway,” Mid-Day quoted an officer.
As per reports, Noor hailed from Assam. She has worked in a number of web series in Hindi including Siskiyaan, Walkaman Upaya, and Charamsukh. She also had a minor role in Disney+ Hotstar’s ‘The Trial’, starring Kajol and Jisshu Sengupta.
Reports further added that Noor was living in the apartment on rent. Until last month, her family was also living with her in Mumbai. The family returned to the village a week ago.
