Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan has reportedly paused the shoot of his much-anticipated action film King after sustaining an injury during filming.
According to sources, the actor hurt himself while performing an intense stunt sequence at a studio in Mumbai. Though the injury is not said to be serious, it has been identified as a muscular strain requiring immediate medical attention.
Shah Rukh, who is also sharing screen space with his daughter Suhana Khan in the film, has reportedly flown to the United States with his team for specialized treatment. Doctors have advised him a month-long rest, prompting a temporary halt in the film’s production.
As a result, all filming scheduled between July and August has been put on hold. The shoot is expected to resume in September or October, depending on the actor’s recovery.
This is not the first time Shah Rukh’s demanding schedule has raised concerns. Earlier this year, fans expressed worry when he was seen in Jaipur looking visibly exhausted.
King marks a high-octane return to action for the superstar, and fans will now have to wait a little longer for its release as the team prioritizes health and safety.
