The highly anticipated action thriller ‘King’, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan, is set to begin production in January 2025. Directed by Sujoy Ghosh and produced by Siddharth Anand and Mamta Anand in association with SRK's Red Chillies Entertainment, the film promises to offer a fresh take on the genre.

According to recent reports, the first schedule of ‘King’ will take place in Mumbai, followed by an extensive shooting phase across Europe.

The production team has meticulously selected stunning European locations to create a visually captivating backdrop for the film. Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan will portray a mentor-protégé duo navigating the treacherous world of the underworld, facing off against the antagonist, played by Abhishek Bachchan.

The film is poised to redefine action sequences in Indian cinema, combining real locations with studio setups to enhance realism and scale. Shah Rukh Khan is particularly excited about this challenging role, aiming to push the boundaries of his acting prowess. Production is expected to conclude by August or September 2025, allowing ample time for post-production work. The filmmakers are targeting a grand release during Eid 2026, a significant date for Shah Rukh Khan, who previously marked the festival with the blockbuster ‘Chennai Express’.
