Bollywood's Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan is all set for the release of 'Sitaare Zameen Par', a spiritual sequel to 2007's Taare Zameen Par. While fans are eagerly waiting for Khan's comeback, some surprising updates about his upcoming flicks have been surfacing lately. Well, recently the actor confirmed another movie, a sequel to his 1999 blockbuster Sarfarosh.

Sarfarosh Sequel
1999's Sarfarosh, helmed by John Matthew Matthan, starring Aamir Khan, Sonali Bendre and Naseeruddin Shah, was a commercially successful and critically acclaimed Bollywood movie. Khan played the honourable and unyielding Mumbai police officer ACP Ajay Singh Rathod. The movie is still remembered for its stirring plot and sense of patriotism.
Now, Khan has formally confirmed that a sequel to Sarfarosh is in development, after 20 years.
While speaking at the Bollywood Hungama Style Icons Summit, Khan discussed the impending sequel and the responsibility that comes with making sequels to classics.
Khan said, "Once you made a great film, you don’t want to mess with them. Aap uska sequel tab karenge jab aapko aisa lage ki deserve to be. Vo feeling that you would like to do for any of the film. Like Andaaz Apna Apna, Sarfarosh. Sarfarosh 2 pe abhi kaam chal raha hai. Unless the script comes out really well, it is really unfair to go ahead."

Earlier, the PK actor had revealed about Andaz Andaz Apna Apna 2. Later, reports surfaced that the actor is also gearing up for a superhero flick with Lokesh Kanagaraj, Dadasaheb Phalke biopic with Rajkumar Hirani, Kishore Kumar biopic with Anurag Basu, Ujjwal Nikam biopic with Dinesh Vijan, PK 2, Ghajini 2, and more.
Surprisingly, recently Aamir Khan revealed that his dream project Mahabharat will possibly be his last film as he thinks after that he will have nothing to do.

Sitaare Zameen Par
Sitaare Zameen Par is set for theatrical release on June 20, 2025. Even though the movie is yet to be released, it is already facing backlash over a near scene-by-scene remake of the 2023 Hollywood film Champions.
