Bollywood's bubbly actress Sara Ali Khan, known for her infectious energy, candid personality, and impressive performances, turned 30 on Tuesday.

Daughter of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, Sara has charmed audiences with roles in films like Kedarnath, Simmba, and Zara Hatke Zara Bachke. Beyond the silver screen, her wit, humility, and relatable social media presence have earned her a loyal fan base. On her milestone birthday, fans and industry colleagues showered her with love and warm wishes.

On her special day, here's a flashback to the day Sara brought out her Kareena Kapoor-inspired avatar.

Sara’s Admiration for Bebo

In various interviews, Sara Ali Khan has expressed her admiration for Bollywood’s OG diva, Kareena Kapoor Khan. She has often spoken about their warm and respectful bond, sharing that Kareena never tried to be a mother figure after marrying Saif in 2012, but instead maintained a friendly relationship. Sara has been a die-hard fan of Bebo long before Kareena became her stepmother.

A Childhood Tribute to Kareena

Back in 2001, Kareena became a style icon with her bold look as Kaurwaki in Asoka, dancing to Alka Yagnik’s 'San Sanana'. Sporting dramatic eyeliner and body tattoos, Bebo’s portrayal left a lasting impression on young Sara. Actor Navneet Nishan, a close friend of Amrita Singh, once revealed in an interview that six-year-old Sara insisted on dressing like Kareena after Asoka's release.

“I remember when Asoka (2001) had released, she wanted to be dressed like Kareena Kapoor. I had to make tattoos on her. Then I tied a scarf around her. I remember Saif Ali Khan came to my house. He looked at her with shock, like ‘What are you doing?’! I clicked a picture at that very moment. Even Amrita is there in the picture,” Nishan recalled.

A photograph from that moment, featuring Sara, Amrita, and her Asoka-inspired look, recently resurfaced on Reddit, sparking nostalgia among fans.
