Sandalwood actress Rachita Ram, who is well known as dimple queen, triggered controversy after she made some comments during a press event. Actually, the comment was in reply to an embarrassing question posed by a reporter. When the reporter questioned Rachita about acting in sensual and intimate scenes for her upcoming movie Love You Rachchu, the actress was a bit intimidated.
In her reply, the actress clarified that she did the bold scenes as it was the demand of the script. But when she was coaxed further Rachita in return asked the reporter what he did recently on his wedding night. Taking her point further, the Kannada actress said that she does not have any intention to embarrass anyone but everyone is aware of what people do after marriage.
While the media people tried to come up with an answer for this intimidating question, Rachita further added that people romance on their first night, and that is being shown in the bold scenes in her upcoming movie Love You Rachchu. The actress also said that there is a reason why she did those bold, intimate scenes in the movie and everyone will come to know the reason once they watch her film.
Now, this has not gone down well with Kannada Kranthi Dal who demanded that Rachita offers a public apology for her intimidating banter during the press conference related to her yet-to-be-released flick. The members of the organisation have also asked the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce to ban the actress.
While talking to press reporters, Tejasvi Nagalingaswamy, who is the president of the Kannada Kranthi Dal said that the statements made by Rachita are against the culture of the land and her words have damaged the image of Kannada.
According to Nagalingaswamy, the Kannada film industry has a rich tradition taken forward by big names like Dr. Rajkumar and Rachita seems to be unaware of this tradition which is why she has spoken indecently in this way.
