Tollywood queen Samantha Ruth Prabhu, with a career spanning over 15 years, has revealed why she has consciously cut down on work. She now takes up only projects she is truly passionate about, no longer juggling multiple films at once, and instead prioritizing her mental and physical well-being. Though fewer in number, each project receives her full dedication.

'Everything I do now has my heart...'

In a recent interview with Grazia India, Samantha was asked if she prioritises films or fitness.

To this, Sam replied, “I’ve reached a point where I do things I’m extremely passionate about, and that includes both fitness and films. In the past, I’ve been a part of several films and series, but not all of them were passion projects."

Further, she added, "But now, every single thing I do, every business I invest in, every film that I produce, all have my heart. There are fewer projects, but they have my whole heart.”

Furthermore, speaking about the demanding nature of film shoots, Sam added, “I no longer shoot five films at a time. One thing I’ve realised is that I need to listen to my body, so I’ve reduced the amount of work that I do."

"But now everything that I do and put my energy and mind into matters so much more. Nothing is for the heck of it. The quantity may have reduced but the quality of projects has definitely increased,” she added.

Sam's Work Front

The Oh Baby actress recently made a cameo appearance in the Telugu film Subham, which was produced under her own banner, Tralala Moving Pictures. She was also seen in Raj-DK’s spy-action series Citadel: Honey Bunny, co-starring Varun Dhawan, which premiered last year on Amazon Prime Video.

Sam will next be seen in the action-thriller series Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom. The show, directed by Raj and DK, features an ensemble cast including Aditya Roy Kapur, Ali Fazal, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Jaideep Ahlawat. Currently in production, the series is scheduled for release next year.
