Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who took a year-long break from acting after her diagnosis of the autoimmune condition Myositis, is finally back and will soon resume her work.
Giving an update on her Instagram stories, Samantha joyfully announced her return to work through a video message.
"Yes, I am going back to work, finally. But apart from that, in the meantime, I was so completely jobless. But, I am doing something fun with a friend. It's a health podcast. It is quite unexpected, but it is something that I really, really love. I am extremely passionate about and I am very excited that it is released next week. I hope that some of you really find it extremely useful. And, I think I have enjoyed making this," said Samantha.
In the video, Samantha also shared her next project which is a health podcast, which she collaborated on with a friend. Expressing her excitement, she revealed the podcast's release is scheduled for the coming week.
During her hiatus, Samantha prioritized her health, undergoing treatment for Myositis in the US and travelling extensively enjoying the time with her family and friends.
Notably, Samantha decided to take a break to focus on her health after wrapping up the Indian segment of the action-thriller 'Citadel.'
On the work front, Samantha was last seen in Shiva Nirvana’s 'Kushi,' opposite Vijay Deverakonda. Next, she will be seen in Citadel opposite Varun Dhawan which will stream on Amazon Prime Video this year. She also signed up for 'Chennai Stories,' marking her debut in a foreign film, though an official announcement is pending.
