Samantha Ruth Prabhu seems to have grown wings after her divorce from Naga Chaitanya. The actress who earlier was quite choosy about the characters she played in the movies has now decided to go a bit bolder. Her latest moves have not only elated her fans but some of them have also shocked them. Undoubtedly, the diva is currently on a movie-signing spree post her separation from Naga Chaitanya. More importantly, she is also trying to move beyond the fence that she once had put herself around her.
After giving her nod for an item number, her first in the career span of more than a decade, now Samantha is now all set to play a bisexual character in her upcoming flick. The actress in her recent post on Instagram shared that she will be next working with Philip John, BAFTA-winning Welsh director. John is well known for his works like The Good Karma Hospital and Downton Abbey.
The movie titled 'Arrangements of Love' has been inspired by the novel with the same title. Written by Indian writer Timeri N. Murari, it was the bestselling novel of 2004. The movie revolves around a Welsh-Indian man, who is on the pursuit to locate his estranged father, who went on an impromptu visit to his native land.
In 'Arrangements of Love', Samantha plays the character of a funny yet strong-minded 27-year old girl with bisexual inclinations. She is a Tamil girl born to ultra-traditional parents trying to arrange a marriage for their daughter. Sam’s character is quite progressive and she runs a detective agency. She becomes a part of the investigation of the Welsh-Indian man who is trying to find his father.
While she does want to please her parents, she also wants to live her life according to her own terms. It would be interesting to see how Samantha plays this bisexual character, especially after her stunning performance as an antagonist in The Family Man Season 2.
