Tollywood Queen Samantha Ruth Prabhu is passionate about fitness and motivates her fans with her workout routines. However, the actress is once again in 'the line of fire' and slammed by Dr Cyriac Abby Philips popularly known as 'The Liver Doc' on social media. Recently, The Liver Doc shared a series of posts slamming Samantha for promoting 'fraud supplements' and called her a 'science illiterate'.

The Liver Doc Criticises Samantha
On Wednesday, The Liver Doc shared a series of posts on social media and lashed out at Samantha for allegedly promoting a supplement brand that claims to contain NMN (Nicotinamide Mononucleotide).
Notably, in her promotional post for the supplement, Samantha wrote, "NAD+ declines with age, leading to lower energy, slower recovery, and reduced focus." Further, she claimed that NMN can help reverse this.
The Liver Doc Calls Samantha 'Science Illiterate'!
However, The Liver Doc accused Sam of spreading misinformation. Sharing the actress' post, The Liver Doc wrote, "How science illiterate movie celebrities defraud their millions of followers by selling supplements that do not work at all." (sic)
He further shared his views on the anti-ageing pill with studies backing his claims. The Liver Doc concluded his series of posts with a 'BOTTOM LINE' reading, "If you want to age better, focus on the boring things that actually work diet, exercise, sleep, avoidance of alcohol and tobacco, vaccination. Not on a molecule that can’t even clear Phase 2 -quality evidence." (sic)
Sharing the same post on Instagram, The Liver Doc wrote, "Beware of snake oil salesmen or snake oil saleswomen. They come in various sizes and forms. Be a well informed consumer. Progress with science and evidence. Listen to real doctors." (sic)
However, Samantha hasn't reacted to the claims made by The Liver Doc.
