After three back-to-back heartbreaking debacles of Radhe Shyam, Saaho, and Adipurush, Rebel star Prabhas is back with a bang on the big screen. His latest release ‘Salaar’ made a monstrous start and is shattering all the existing records.
Helmed by KGF fame director Prashanth Neel, the mass action movie witnessed a historic opening on the first day and left SRK’s Dunki way behind in terms of box office collection. Amid massive craze, it has become the biggest blockbuster of the year while beating the first-day collections of Jawan, Pathaan, and Animal.
As per early estimates, the mass movie earned around Rs 95 crore on the opening day domestically. If reports are to be believed, the film has raked in around RS 180 crore in just one day globally. The film’s earnings came mostly from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana with a collection of a whopping Rs 70 crore. It also performed well in Karnataka and Kerala with opening day box office figures of Rs 12 crore and Rs 5 crore, respectively.
As the film continues to soar high with positive word of mouth, Salaar has beaten the opening day collection of SRK’s Pathaan and Jawan and Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’. While Jawan had collected Rs 75 crore on the first day, Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’ collected Rs 63 crore and SRK’s Pathaan earned Rs 57 crore in India.
Meanwhile, the positive word of mouth from fans is benefitting Salaar which is expected to break all the existing records. Fans of Prabhas are super happy their favourite star is receiving after the debacle of Saaho, Radhe Shyam and Saaho.
Salaar will be released in two parts. While the first part is titled Salaar: Part-1 Ceasefire, the second part is titled ‘Salaar: Shouryaanga Parvam’.
