Prabhas’ upcoming high-octane action thriller Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire is one of the highly anticipated movies that cinema lovers are eagerly waiting for. After a series of movies by the Baahubali actor bombed at the box office, fans have pinned high hopes on the movie and its director Prashanth Neel.
While the movie was earlier scheduled to release on September 28, recently, distressing reports have surfaced that will leave fans disheartened. As per the latest reports, the much-awaited action thriller has been postponed to a later date. If the reports are anything to go by, Salaar will release either in December 2023 or January 2024. The makers will be making an official announcement for the same soon after finalizing the new release date.
Pinkvilla quoted a source from the industry as saying, "Salaar holds a prominent position among the big films emerging from India, and the creators are determined to meet the high expectations of fans and moviegoers. Unfortunately, the film is not yet ready and requires additional time for post-production.”
Further, the report added that Darling Prabhas, Neel and the entire team have unanimously agreed to postpone Salaar. “The distributors in the USA and India have also been notified about it, while the USA’s bookings will be cancelled and refunds will be issued,” read the report.
Soon after the reports surfaced, fans expressed their dissatisfaction through social media. The platforms are flooded with sarcastic memes and notes that clearly explain the frustration and disappointment.
Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire has an ensemble cast including Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Tinnu Anand, Easwari Rao, Sriya Reddy, and Ramachandra Raju. While excitement for Salaar remains high, the reports of KGF connection have fuelled the excitement level among all. Fans need to wait for an official announcement for the same.
