Aneet Padda is winning hearts across the country with her soulful performance in Saiyaara in Mohit Suri’s much-awaited return to romantic dramas. Her on-screen chemistry with Ahaan Panday has left fans humming the title track and rooting for the debut pair. But while Ahaan’s Bollywood roots are well-known, Aneet’s journey to the big screen is a tale of quiet perseverance, starting from the sidelines of a Kajol-starrer.

Who is Aneet Padda?

Born in October 2002 in Amritsar, Aneet comes from a humble, middle-class family far removed from the glitz of Bollywood. She started as a teenage model, working in advertisements while pursuing her degree at Jesus and Mary College, Delhi University. This early exposure to cameras paved the way for her first brush with cinema.

In 2022, Aneet worked as an extra in Kajol’s emotional drama Salaam Venky. Though her presence went largely unnoticed then, it marked her first step into the film industry. Her real breakthrough came with Amazon Prime Video’s Big Girls Don’t Cry in 2024, where she shared screen space with Pooja Bhatt, Raima Sen, and Zoya Hussain.

Making Her Mark with Saiyaara

Mohit Suri, known for his knack for discovering fresh talent, handpicked Aneet for Saiyaara after an audition that reportedly wowed both him and YRF’s top brass. Starring opposite Ahaan Panday, she stepped into the limelight with confidence, and the audience response has been overwhelmingly positive.

A Star in the Making

With music by Tanishk Bagchi and a strong buzz at the box office, Saiyaara is set for a massive opening. As trade pundits predict a Rs 15–20 crore debut, Aneet Padda’s rise from a supporting artist to a promising leading lady feels nothing short of cinematic itself.
