In the days following a stabbing attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, he and his wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan have requested paparazzi to stop taking photos of their sons, Taimur and Jeh.

Online media reports mentioned that the actor couple’s PR team had issued a request to all paparazzi to respect their privacy and not photograph their two minor sons wherever they are spotted. The request also asked paps to refrain from standing outside their residence and taking pictures of them while they are entering or leaving.

The media is, however, free to click the actors when they attend a public event. The statements highlighted a sense of urgency following the intense limelight on the family and their Bandra residence where the stabbing took place.

The PR advisory comes days after Kareena Kapoor’s now-deleted Instagram story from January 20 where she slammed the paparazzi and asked them to respect her family’s privacy.

"Stop this now. Have a heart. Leave us alone, for God's sake,” the story stated before being deleted not long after.

The January 16 stabbing incident had left Saif Ali Khan with six stab wounds. He was reportedly attacked at their Bandra residence during an attempted burglary. Khan was injured when trying to stop the attacker, identified as Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, and subsequently underwent surgery to remove a piece of the knife lodged in his back.
