For any big movie in the making response to its promotions and songs offer the promise of mega success. Especially when a big budget and star cast is involved, the risk is pretty higher and the team is always very careful about its promotions and release of its song so that needful hype and anticipation for the flick are created. Coming to RRR, undoubtedly it is one of the biggest movies slated to release this year. With a stellar star cast like Ram Charan, Junior NTR, Ajay Devgn, and Alia Bhatt and helmed by SS Rajamouli, RRR has already triggered mega hype ever since this flick was announced.
Post Baahubali, the expectations from Rajamouli has escalated hugely. And as expected, the makers are not leaving any stone unturned to ensure that the hype continues and the movie turns out to be a blockbuster across pan India. But it seems that the promotions of the movie have received a setback after its much-hyped Dosti song failed to garner the expected response.
Composed by famous music director MM Keeravani, the song was released almost 10 days ago and was expected to burst the charts and become a very big hit. The tune of the song is very catchy and the RRR team did everything possible to promote it aggressively on social media.

In 10 days, the Telugu version of this song has received around 15 million views whereas the Hindi version sung by Bollywood music director Amit Trivedi has received only 11 million views. So, together the total views are 25 million which is good but not big enough to make the song a blockbuster.
Incidentally, the other regional versions in Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam together have received only 6 million views which means that only the Telugu and Hindi versions of the RRR Dosti song have managed to impress the audience whereas the other versions did not click.
For a small, regional movie targeted for a specific audience, this number is quite impressive. But considering the huge canvas of RRR and its pan World release planning, it seems that the makers will have to do something special to attract more attention from the audience when they come out with another song or teaser in the upcoming days.
