During one of his recent interviews, Rishab Shetty also discussed Hindi films and their content. According to the Kannada superstar, Indian films especially Bollywood show India in a bad light and that the inclination is more to present the movies as art films so that they get invited to the global events and red carpets.

Talking about himself, the Sandalwood actor said that for him his nation, his state, and his language are his pride and that is what he takes at the global level positively. While fans of South Indian movies praised Rishab Shetty for his statement, many Bollywood movie fans called him out for directing and acting in a movie like Kantara which is full of violence and cruelty.
