Mere Haathon Mein Nau Nau Choodiyan Hai
After Mr. India, it was Chandni that turned Sridevi into the biggest actress in Bollywood. She already had delivered hits like Himmatwala and Tohfa with Jeetendra, but she looked divine as Yash Chopra’s heroine.
From the title song Chandni to Lagi Aaj Sawan Ki, all the songs in this movie are beautiful. But Mere Hathon Mein is a typical dance number and Sridevi has done a wonderful job with the evergreen choreography of Saroj Khan.
Na Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai
ChaalBaaz featured Sridevi in a double role and had two heroes played by Sunny Deol and Rajinikanth. This particular song features Sri and Sunny both under the influence of alcohol start dancing to a peppy number in the rain. The transparent raincoat of the actress was a rage after the movie was released.
Kaate Nahi Katte Yein Din Ye Raat
Another blockbuster song from Mr. India with Sridevi dancing smoothly to some sensuous moves in a chiffon transparent saree. Reportedly, she was running a high fever during the shooting but continued to shoot even the rain sequence in the song. Despite her body being fully covered, she looked so graceful and sexy in this song with Anil Kapoor.
Navrai Mazhi Ladachi Ladachi Ga
Sridevi returned to movies with English Vinglish after long years of sabbatical. Apart from her strong performance, this song Navrai Mazhi became a trendsetter, especially for the wedding sangeet ceremonies.
With some typical Marathi words in the lyrics and fresh, graceful dancing from Sridevi, it is one of the last yet best hit numbers from the superstar.
