India's 'Business Titan' Ratan Tata left for his heavenly abode on October 9. His wisdom, life values, knowledge and lifestyle have indeed inspired countless people. He held a special place in the hearts of people with his integrity, perseverance, humility, compassion and simplicity. However, did you know the Tata Scion made the Titan of Indian cinema, Amitabh Bachchan, realise to stay humble?
After the Business Titan passed away, people, who met him, flooded the social media sharing their memorable experiences with Ratan Tata. Well, here we bring an old interview of Amitabh Bachchan when he revealed that he learned to stay humble from Ratan Tata.
Amitabh Bachchan recalled an incident when they met for the first time. It was during the peak of his career and moviegoers across the country were crazy for Amitabh Bachchan. Amitabh Bachchan and Ratan Tata boarded on the same flight and were sitting next to each other.
While everyone else recognised the Sholay actor, Tata was busy with his newspaper.
According to a report by News 24 Hindi, the Deewar actor said, "I asked him if he watches movies. 'Yes, but very little and many years ago,' he replied. After this, we both had a conversation and when we got off the flight, we both told each other our names."
Further, the Don actor said that he learnt to stay humble, no matter how big you think you are, there's always someone bigger.
"I learned that no matter how big you think you are, there's always someone bigger. Be humble; it costs nothing. So, my friend, remember to stay humble in your career journey. It doesn't cost anything, and you never know who you might meet along the way," said the Trishul actor.
Interestingly, Ratan Tata, under whose leadership Tata Enterprise came on the global map and over 100 independent companies are operating all over the world, foraged into film production once in his lifetime. Under Tata Infomedia, Ratan Tata produced the movie Aetbaar, which starred Amitabh Bachchan with Bipasha Basu and John Abraham. The movie was released in 2004 and became a box office disaster. However, the bonding of Amitabh and Ratan remained intact.
Expressing his grief, the Kalia actor penned an emotional note on social media.
He wrote, "Just came to learn of the passing of Shri Ratan Tata .. was working very late. An era has ended .. a most respected, humble yet visionary leader of immense foresight and resolve .. Spent some wonderful moments with him, during several Campaigns we were involved in together .. My prayers."
Later he also shared a photograph showing himself with Ratan Tata.
