She described The Girlfriend as a character-driven film that explores subjects not often talked about:

Film Details and Teaser
The Girlfriend is written and directed by Rahul Ravindran, and produced by GA2 Pictures, Mass Movie Makers, and Dheeraj Mogilineni Entertainment. The teaser, released in December 2024, opens with Vijay Deverakonda’s voiceover praising the female lead as Rashmika enters a college campus. The teaser hints at a love story with mysterious and emotional turns, also introducing Dheekshith Shetty as her boyfriend.
