After the massive success of 'Animal,' Rashmika Mandanna is gearing up for another promising role as the lead in the upcoming thrilling love story, 'The Girlfriend.' The talented actor has officially commenced shooting for the film, marking it as her 24th venture in her illustrious seven-year career.

Directed by Rahul Ravindran and produced by Geetha Arts, 'The Girlfriend' is set to be a solo-led thriller, showcasing Rashmika in a captivating narrative. Currently, the actor is stationed in Hyderabad for a 20-day shoot, kicking off the principal photography of this highly-anticipated film.

Rashmika Mandanna teased fans with the first look of 'The Girlfriend,' generating excitement and anticipation. 

Taking to her Instagram stories on December 5, she shared a blurred picture from the airport, expressing her enthusiasm for the upcoming project. She wrote, "And finally now it's Mumbai ✈️ Hyderabad. For about 20 days, my loves ❤️. Starting 'The Girlfriend' tomorrow... Need all your love and blessings."

Having recently tasted success with 'Animal,' Rashmika's busy schedule includes a lineup of intriguing projects such as 'Rainbow,' 'D 51,' 'Chhaava,' 'Pushpa: The Rule,' and an untitled film with Ravi Teja.
